The Role
We’re looking for a data-driven, forward-thinking SEO Specialist to join our global marketing team. You will take ownership of website analytics, uncover opportunities to improve content, structure, and conversions, and help make our websites more visible, relevant, and AI-ready.
Working closely with the Head of Digital Marketing, you’ll be part of a talented team including paid search and social specialists, content writers, and a digital media manager. This is a hands-on role where technical SEO meets content strategy and AI innovation.
Key Responsibilities
· Optimise website content for search engines and AI tools (on-page SEO, “Zero-Click” visibility).
· Conduct technical SEO audits, fix issues, and make actionable recommendations.
· Support the content team with entity-based content strategies to establish Projects Abroad as a topical authority.
· Work on conversion rate optimisation (CRO) to turn organic traffic into enquiries and bookings.
· Build backlinks and authority by securing high-quality mentions in travel, education, and NGO sectors.
· Track and analyse website performance using GA4, Microsoft Clarity, Semrush, and Search Console.
Skills & Experience
· 2+ years in SEO, ideally in travel, education, or non-profit sectors.
· Strong technical knowledge of keywords, search intent, structured data, and SEO tools.
· Experience using AI tools in SEO workflows and familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs).
· International SEO experience a plus (multi-regional or multi-lingual websites).
· Strong analytical mindset, able to turn data into actionable insights.
· Passion for international development, cultural exchange, and teen travel.
